ConnAct

Project Aim

ConnAct aims to bring innovative knowledge and entrepreneurial outlook among Slovak youth enabling them generate and implement own businees ideas that will contribute to sustainable community development.

 

We strive to connect about 100 Slovak students and recent graduates with local enterprises and more than 20 international volunteers by providing them support systems and needed expertize related to project management and startup business.

Project Explanation

Slovak students and graduates that are taking part in ConnAct will be divided in several project teams that are led by international voluneers from Slavic region, involving countries such as Russia, Ukraine, Serbia, Slovenia etc. Every project team will have about a half of month to work on particular business idea with mentor asigned for constant consultancy, as well information support systems provided by AIESEC.

 

Projects that project teams will be working on will be related to one of SDGs that have been chosen as most relevant in Slovakia according to YouthSpeak survey. More information about SDGs you can find on sustainabledevelopment.un.org. Students and graduates will be allocated to project teams based on their preferences.

 

Final business plans and outcomes will be presented during the closing event, after while project teams will continue implementation forward with possible financial and professional coaching support.

Project Logistics – when, where, how many days, how long..?

Project will last 20 days – from 8th of August till 28th of August.

It will be organized in 2 cities of Slovakia – Bratislava and Kosice.

Project will start with Opening event in both of cities, date and place to be confirmed.

Project teams will have working time for about 3 weeks, meeting each other at least twice a week.

Project will end with Closing event in both cities, date and place to be confirmed.

Fisrt week (8th of August – 14h of August)

  • Opening Event and Introduction of 6 different business ideas
  • Formation of the project teams that will work on business ideas
  • Mentors’ asignment
  • Project team meetings and online comunication
  • Market research and analysis
  • Creation of Business Canvas Model
  • Creation of Financial Model
  • Design of Marketing plan – B2C Marketing
  • Design of Marketing plan – B2B Marketing

 

Second week (15th of August- 21st of August)

  • Project team meetings and online comunication
  • Organized feedback with other project teams
  • Creation of implementation plan and timeline
  • Piloting and testing project on target market

 

Third week (22nd of august- 28th of August)

  • Project team meetings and online communication
  • Piloting and testing project on target market
  • Collecting of data and preparation of the Final Projects Pitch
  • Closing Event and Final Projects Pitch

Participant Profile

  • Slovak Students, Graduates and Postgraduates – age group 18-30 years old.
  • Not specific background needed.
  • DDL for registrtation – 31st of July.
  • Participation fee 25€.
